"It was a great pleasure to work with you and your staff on this project to construct a reliable, cost effective source of treated surface water for the residents of Bell and Lampasas Counties, Texas."
The project involved construction of a raw water intake facility, membrane water treatment plant, offices, laboratory, concrete clear well and high service pumps with an initial capacity of 7.08 MGD, and future capacity of 21.25 MGD. Construction began in September of 2008 on the $14.3 million, 18-month construction contract. The project was completed on time, with change orders totaling $12,202, or 0.085% of the original construction contract amount.
Greg Beach executed his duties as site construction manager to perfection. He deftly coordinated suppliers and subcontractors, continually communicated with our staff and the Owner. He kept the project on track in the face of obstacles that would have ordinarily derailed the schedule. There were no excuses ever offered by Greg, and no request for extra contract time. Greg even adjusted his scheduled vacation at the end of the project to leave nothing to chance during final walk through and punch list completion.
Don Schuch, your project manager, was meticulous in demanding perfection from all of the trades, and particularly for the complex stainless steel piping welding and installation. This aspect of the plant construction is truly a work of art. The care and pride that Don and everyone at your organization poured into the project is immediately obvious to anyone who visits the facility. In summary, everyone involved from Matous Construction went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that the project was a success, and to make sure the customer was happy.
I can only hope that our firm has the opportunity to work with you again on future projects. Congratulations to you and your staff on a job well done.
