Matous Construction, Ltd. has been serving customers since 1993. We are committed to constructing the highest quality water and wastewater treatment plants to our clients.
Experienced professionals make up Matous Construction, Ltd. Our team of professionals specialize in water and wastewater treatment plants. This vast amount of knowledge and experience allows us to offer valuable engineering ideas and solutions at any point in the construction process.
Our expert staff boasts more than 100 years of combined experience in the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants. Our focus is only on water and wastewater. Therefore, we are always kept abreast of the latest technology, means and methods to stay on the cutting edge of our industry.
Our company has successfully completed many fast-tracked Design - Build Projects. The Design - Build Projects delivery system provides a vehicle to construct a project in a fraction of the time that it normally takes with the conventional Design-Bid-Build method of delivery.
Our expert Project Managers offer many cost saving ideas that allow the project to come in under budget and ahead of schedule. Our team will work with design professionals to insure the project complies with state and federal regulations.
Concerning project completion and budgets, we pride ourselves for successfully completing all of our jobs on time and within budget.

Our Team
Bruce A. Matous
Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
Bruce Matous was raised in the construction business by Lee Roy Psencik. He worked for Mr. Psencik as a pipe layer / laborer in the summers while still in high school. Bruce worked his way thru college while obtaining a degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
At Matous Construction, Bruce is CEO and serves as a Senior Project Manager and Estimator. He visits jobsites often to obtain a close look at job progress. He continues to develop means and methods for constructing projects in a safe manner as well as on time and under budget.
William M. Beach
Vice President, Co-Founder
Willie Beach was raised in the construction business by his dad, Alan R. Beach. Alan was a long time superintendent of Psencik Construction. Willie traveled to jobsites with his dad at a very early age.
Don R. Schuch
Senior Project Manager, Co-Founder
Don Schuch was raised in the construction business by Clyde Smith. Mr. Smith was the founder and owner of Water Construction back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Don worked his way through the University of Texas at Water Construction. While at Texas, Don earned a degree in Civil Engineering.
Blake Pitts
President
Blake Pitts joined Matous Construction in 2006 after graduating from Texas A&M University where he received a degree in Construction Science. He graduated No. 1 in his class in the School of Architecture. He currently serves as Project Manager on our larger construction projects.
Michael L. Psencik
Project Manager
Mike Psencik is the son of the late Lee Roy Psencik. Mike was raised in the business by one of the best businessmen in the industry. He has taken after his father in many ways ... he takes a very systematic approach as an estimator and project manager.
John T. Yanez, Jr.
Vice President of Field Operations
John Yanez was raised in the construction business by his dad and uncle and was operating backhoes at a very young age. John currently serves as Vice President of Field Operations and is a project superintendent on our larger projects.
Andrew Roberts, P.E.
Project Manager
Andrew serves as Project Manager and Estimator for Matous Construction. Andrew is a 2006 Graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Andrew is a Registered Professional Engineer. Andrew has a strong background in Civil Engineering. Andrew is very detailed oriented in scheduling and managing projects.
Jessica L. Bozon, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Jessica handles the financial and accounting side of the business and assists our project managers and estimating team. Jessica graduated from Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Master of Science in finance. She worked in public accounting for 10 years prior to joining our Company in June 2020.
Jessica and her husband Brandon have two young children. They enjoy spending down time with family and friends whenever possible.
Kate Richter
Business Development Manager
Kate specializes in contract procurement and business development. She focuses on ensuring we succeed in all aspects of project delivery from concept through closeout.
Kate is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies. She is currently pursing an MBA at Texas A&M.
After starting her career in the non-profit sector in Dallas, Kate relocated to Bell County in 2022 to be closer to family. She spends her spare time volunteering, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors with her dog Whiskey.
